Before Detroit was Hockeytown, the Red Wings were the Dead Wings, enduring a forty year championship drought. The outlook was brighter in the 1990’s, but the Wings were still considered soft. Their rival, the Colorado Avalanche, won the Stanley Cup in 1996 and were dominating the 1997 regular season series. The bad blood and emotions bubbled over on March 26 at Joe Louis Arena. A full-scale brawl ensued with even the net minders dropping the gloves.
The momentum of the Wings victory on the ice and scoreboard that night paved the way for their run to three Stanley Cups in the next six years. Remember the passion of those days with this super comfortable tee. Plus, everyone (and I mean everyone) needs a tee with fighting goalies.
This ridiculously comfortable tee is a 50% polyester/25% cotton/25% rayon tri-blend.
